Connor McConnell
Volleyball
Connor is a former professional volleyball player who has played 4 pro season in Europe, his last one being in the Romanian First League. In Europe Connor has played with and against some of the best players in the world of volleyball. He currently has three national medals coming from third place finishes in the Slovenian First League. Before going to Europe, Connor graduated from the University of New Brunswick obtaining his business management degree in the year 2020-2021, while playing for the UNB REDS Volleyball Team. He finished his AUS/RSEQ career with 1st and 2nd team all-star awards, AUS rookie of the year as well as a 2nd team all Canadian.
With over 7 years of coaching experience, Connor is passionate about coaching and sharing his years of knowledge with aspiring athletes.

Olivia Bell
Volleyball
Olivia is a professional volleyball player who has played pro in France and is currently playing in Cyrpus for her second season abroad. Olivia graduated from Saint Mary’s University, where she played on the women’s volleyball team for 5 years. Bell was awarded AUS Rookie of the Year, AUS All-Rookie Team and USports All-Rookie Team as well as SMU Rookie of the Year after her first season with the Huskies. Over her 5 years she’s become a 4x AUS First Team All-Star and 2X Second-Team All Canadian, and conference MVP 2024 season. She served as a captain for the Huskies for her last two seasons and recently crossed the 1000-career points and 1000-career kills milestone.
Olivia has 7 years of coaching experience from many levels of volleyball including junior varsity girls, varsity girls, club u16 girls and club u18 girls and is passionate about sharing her volleyball knowledge and helping the next generation achieve their goals.

Mark Tobin
Basketball
Mark Tobin is a varsity basketball player at the University of New Brunswick and a team captain of the UNB REDS men’s basketball program. He has been playing the game since the age of four and has competed at high levels throughout his career, including representing Newfoundland at the U15 National Championships and at the Canada Games.
Mark is entering his fourth season with the UNB REDS and has served as a team captain for the past three years, demonstrating leadership both on and off the court. In addition to his playing career, he has extensive coaching experience across a wide range of levels. He has coached numerous summer camps, youth programs, and community teams, delivered skill development sessions, and worked one-on-one with athletes of varying ages and abilities. He also served as an assistant coach with the Newfoundland U17 men’s provincial team.
Passionate about athlete development, Mark focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game while creating a positive, competitive training environment that supports long-term growth.

Tynan Gannett
Beach Volleyball
Tynan Gannett is a professional beach volleyball player with Team Canada, currently in his fourth season competing at the national team level. Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Tynan began his volleyball career playing indoor with Dartmouth Volleyball Club and Dartmouth High School before transitioning to beach volleyball in 2020.
Since joining Team Canada in 2023, he has competed internationally on the NORCECA and FIVB tours, earning strong results including a 2nd place finish at the 2025 National Championships, a 1st place finish at the Midwest Open, and multiple NORCECA and U23 NORCECA medals.
Tynan is passionate about coaching and athlete development, with experience coaching youth beach volleyball in Toronto as well as club and school indoor programs in both Ontario and Nova Scotia. He focuses on helping athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game.

Jacob Harris
Volleyball
Jacob is a UNB Reds graduate from Clarenville NL, with a BSc in Kinesiology and a CSEP-CPT certification. Jacob has played 5 seasons with the UNB Reds Men’s Volleyball team in the RSEQ conference as an outside hitter/opposite, and has just finished his first year playing professionally in Finland as an opposite. Jacob was a working student strength and conditioning coach for 3 years at UNB while completing his bachelors coaching other Reds athletes. Jacob has experience with coaching high level athletes performing at the university level in a variety of sports, and 8 years of on court coaching experience with athletes playing junior varsity, varsity, and provincial volleyball.

Lauren Roworth
Volleyball
Lauren has just finished her last season competing at the U-sports level. She competed at Capilano University before continuing her career at University of New Brunswick and finishing with an impressive undefeated regular season. In addition to her playing experience, Lauren has built an impressive coaching résumé. She has worked as a head coach with an 18U girls Nova club team and has also coached a Grade 7 boys team, demonstrating her ability to adapt her coaching style across different age groups and skill levels.
Lauren has also been involved in a variety of camps and development programs, including Beat the Heat, Spartans Beach Volleyball, UNB Reds Camps, and Spartan Youth Programs. Through these experiences, she has helped deliver high-quality training environments focused on skill development, confidence building, and a love for the game.

Sophy Soderman
Volleyball
Sohpy is entering her third year with the UNB Women’s Volleyball team while pursuing a degree in Biochemistry. Last summer, she had the honour of representing New Brunswick at the Canada Games in beach volleyball. Sophy is a Leo Hayes High School and Reds Volleyball Club alum, and has participated in Volleyball New Brunswick high-performance programs for indoor and beach throughout her career.
Sophy is passionate about coaching and has gained experience through assisting with Spartans programs with UNB, as well as organizing and coaching her own volleyball camps and programs.

Finn McMorran
Volleyball
Finn McMorran is a setter with the University of New Brunswick, where he recently completed his second year and earned RSEQ All-Star honours. He began his volleyball journey with the Reds Volleyball Club and progressed through the provincial system, representing New Brunswick at events such as the Canada Cup and the Canada Games in beach volleyball.

In addition to his playing career as a U SPORTS athlete, Finn has been coaching for the past three years. His experience includes working at UNB volleyball camps, coaching VNB beach camps, and supporting high school programs. He is excited to bring his experience and passion for the game to the next generation of athletes.
